About Climate Africa SOS (U) Ltd
Our journey, mission, and commitment to environmental sustainability in Uganda
Our Background
Climate Africa SOS (U) Ltd was established in response to the growing environmental challenges facing communities in Uganda. Founded by local environmental advocates and community leaders, our organization emerged from a deep understanding of the interconnected relationship between environmental degradation, climate change, and community livelihoods.
Located in Uganda, an area rich in biodiversity but vulnerable to climate impacts, we recognized the urgent need for coordinated action to protect our natural resources while empowering local communities to build sustainable futures. Our establishment was driven by the belief that effective environmental conservation must go hand-in-hand with community development and economic empowerment.
Since our inception, we have grown from a small community initiative to a recognized non-profit organization making significant contributions to climate action, wetland restoration, forest conservation, and sustainable development in our region and beyond.
